Three men wanted for home invasion in Whitby

Police are appealing to the public for their assistance in identifying three male suspects involved in a Whitby home invasion early this morning in Whitby.

On Friday September 17, 2010 at approximately 3:15 a.m. officers from the Central West Division responded to a home invasion at a residence on Dundas Street in Whitby. The lone male occupant was accosted by three male suspects who forced their way into his residence and threatened and assaulted him, stealing his personal property before fleeing the scene in a motor vehicle. The victim sustained minor injuries and did not require medical attention.

Investigators do not believe this was a random act. The investigation is ongoing.

Suspect #1 is described as: male, white, clean-shaven, 5’ 6” to 5 7”, 22-26 years of age, large stocky build, short brown or black brush-cut hairstyle and wearing a white shirt and dark pants.

Suspect #2 is described as: male, black, 5’ 8” to 5’ 9”, slender build, 24-25 years of age and wearing a black sweatshirt with a hood.

Suspect #3 is described as: male, black, 20-22 years of age with a slender built and wearing black clothing and black hood covering his head.

The suspect vehicle is described as: a small four door car, maroon in colour.
