Ottawa police investigate regarding a sexual assault incident in Chapel Hill area

The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault/Child Abuse Unit is investigating the report of a suspicious incident that occurred on April 29, 2014 at 8:40 a.m. in the Chapel Hill area. 

A man approached a 12 year old girl on her way to her bus stop in the Boyer road/ Hunter’s Run Gate area. The girl had seen the man on several different occasions and had spoken to him. 

Today, the man inappropriately touched her prior to her bus coming. The girl ran off, got on the bus and the suspect left the area. School officials were alerted and police were immediately called. The area was checked but the suspect was not located. 

The suspect is described as caucasian male, in his 60’s, white hair, wearing blue jeans, black coat, brown shoes and a black hat. He wore glasses and spoke English. The suspect was walking a medium-sized beige dog at the time of this incident.
