Fatal traffic accident at 10200 Westheimer claims a pedestrian man’s life

Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 10200 Westheimer about 11:10 p.m. on Wednesday (May 7).  

The male victim, 51, a pedestrian, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Rossman and Officer R. Bymaster reported:  

The driver of a white Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling westbound on Westheimer.  The victim was walking northbound across the westbound lanes of Westheimer, not at a crosswalk, and was struck by the pickup.  The victim died at the scene.  The driver of the Ford remained at the scene, was questioned and released.
