Bank of Montreal robbed in Markham by four suspects

The York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit is seeking public assistance in identifying and apprehending three suspects wanted in connection with a bank robbery in the Town of Markham

On Monday, October 4, 2010, at approximately 11 a.m., three male suspects, one armed with a rifle, entered the Bank of Montreal located at 100 Carlton Road and made demands from both customers and employees of the bank. The victims complied and the suspects fled through a rear door with a quantity of cash, cell phones and wallets from customers. One customer sustained a minor injury as a result of being pushed by one of the suspects. 

There were no other injuries as a result of the incident. 

The suspects are described as:

• Male, black
• Approximately 20 years
• 6’0’’, thin build
• Dark coloured hooded top
• Scarf covering his face
• Armed with a rifle

• Male, Light Brown complexion
• Wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with a square patterned design on the front

• Male, black
• Dark coloured hooded top

Investigators believe there may have been a fourth suspect waiting nearby with a vehicle.
