Officers with the York Regional Police Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating after a fatal collision in the Town of Richmond Hill.
On Thursday, August 28, 2014, at approximately 11:40 p.m. police responded to a serious, single motor vehicle collision on Elgin Mills Road west of Highway 404. Investigators believe a white Mazda was traveling west on Elgin Mills Road when the driver lost control and went off the roadway, ultimately colliding with a partial brick wall.
The driver of the Mazda, a 27-year-old man from Richmond Hill, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. His name is not being released.
