Bank Robber Shawn Maxwell Cole finally arrested in Hamilton

Hamilton Police Service Break, Enter, Auto Theft and Robbery Unit (B.E.A.R) Unit has arrested a man who recently robbed five banking institutions.

Beginning October 21st, 2010, the lone male robbed a Brantford bank then over the next 7 days, also robbed three banks in Hamilton and one bank in Waterloo. In all cases the male indicated he had a gun, although none was ever seen.

On October 28th, 2010, the B.E.A.R. Unit working in concert with the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Unit, located the male as he sat in a parked van at a Stoney Creek plaza.

Arrested: Shawn Maxwell COLE, 28 years of No Fixed Address
Charges: Robbery (3 Hamilton Counts) as well as outstanding warrants for robbery in Brantford and Waterloo.
