Police continue to seek the public’s help in the disappearance of Arlene McLean.
On September 8th, 1999, at 8:30 p.m., Arlene McLean was last seen leaving her residence on Melrose Place in Eastern Passage. When McLean left her home, she took only her purse and the clothes she was wearing. Ms. McLean left behind her 8 year-old son and her common-law husband.
She departed in the family car, a 1993 four door green Hyundai Elantra. She has not been seen since and her vehicle has never been recovered. No further information has surfaced with respect to the whereabouts of Arlene McLean. The circumstances of her disappearance are suspicious.
