On November 8th, 2010 at approximately 11:20 a.m., Uniform members were dispatched to the area of Maryland Street and Portage Avenue regarding a stolen vehicle.
Attending members located the suspect vehicle and occupants at the intersection of Portage Avenue and Valour Road which resulted in a firearm discharge.
A 14 year old male was conveyed to hospital with upper body injuries. He has since been treated and released.
Two other male youths occupying the suspect vehicle at the time of the incident remain in police custody.
Per protocol, the involved officers have been placed on Administrative Leave. The Homicide Unit and District 2 Crime Unit are continuing with the investigation.
