Richard Padunsky charged in the death of William “Bill” Terry in Hamilton

The Hamilton Police Service Homicide Unit has charged a 55 year-old Dundas man with manslaughter after an altercation with another male at the Royal Canadian Legion on Thursday, November 11, 2010.

On Thursday, November 11, 2010 William “Bill” Terry, 69 years, of Dundas, Ontario, was at the Royal Canadian Legion in Dundas. He was involved in a verbal dispute with another patron. As Terry was leaving the Legion, there was physical contact between the two men and Terry fell, striking his head and becoming unconscious. A call to 9-1-1 was made and ambulance personnel responded. Terry was taken to the Hamilton General with serious head injuries. He never regained consciousness and died on Saturday, November 13th, 2010.

A Dundas resident was charged with Aggravated Assault. This charge has now been upgraded to Manslaughter. Charged is Richard Padunsky, 55 years.

The Hamilton Police Service Homicide Unit is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident. Many witnesses have been interviewed to date but police are asking that anyone that may have been at the Royal Canadian Legion in Dundas during the evening of November 11th, to contact police
