At approximately 9 p.m., police received information about a group of men with a handgun in a burgundy mini-van. Officers located the vehicle with two occupants in a parking lot off of Brunswick Street. Both men were arrested and officers subsequently attended an apartment at that location. The occupants in the apartment refused to come to the door, so officers evacuated the surrounding apartment as a safety precaution.

At approximately 10:40 p.m., two men exited the apartment and were arrested without incident. A third man was also ordered from the apartment and taken into custody. A search of the apartment resulted in a handgun and ammunition being located. Drugs were also located during the search, which resulted in a warrant being obtained and a further search being conducted by the HRP/RCMP Integrated Drug Unit. A quantity of marijuana, psilocybin, cash and drug paraphernalia were seized.

Eighteen-year-old Dakoda Aulenback Foeller, 21-year-old Adam Richard Gray, 22-year-old Trevor Evan Brocklehurst and 22-year-old Matthew Francis Coaker, all from Halifax, as well as 22-year-old Rhyan Harold Carter of Beaverbank, are scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today. They all face charges of drug trafficking and a number of weapon related offences.
