A 30-year-old Pickering man has been arrested after sexually assaulting a teenage girl who he met online.
On Saturday, January 10, 2015, the suspect met the 14-year-old female on Facebook and began anonline relationship, indicating that he was 22 years old. The suspect was invited to the victims residence the same night and sexually assaulted her in her home. He then took her for a drive to a nearby parking lot and sexually assaulted her again.
The suspect was arrested without incident at his residence yesterday.
Adam Smith, age 30, of Middleton Street in Pickering, is charged with: Sexual Assault; Sexual Interference with a Person Under 16 Years; and Luring a Person Under 18 Years x2. He was held for a bail hearing.
