Hamilton police officer Paul Manning charged with Threatening Bodily Harm

On February 10, 2015 Hamilton Police responded to a complaint of a threat.  An investigation was launched and it is alleged that a Hamilton Police officer, while off-duty, had sent a threatening email.  At the time of the arrest, a firearm (long-arm) was discovered, which was stored unsafely.

On February 12, 2015, Hamilton Police made the following arrest:

Charged:           Paul Manning, 41 years, Hamilton

Charges:           Threatening Bodily Harm

                        Unsafe Storage of Firearm

Cst. Manning, a nine-year veteran of the Service, was taken into custody and has a Court appearance this afternoon.   He has been suspended from duty with pay.
