The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a Chatham man in connection with an on-going child luring investigation.

In December 2014, the Chatham-Kent Police Service Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit commenced an investigation where a local man was attempting to lure a 14-year-old Chatham-Kent girl through internet communications for a sexual purpose.

On March 10, 2015 following a thorough investigation, the Chatham-Kent Police Service intercepted the man as he arrived to meet the girl.  A search warrant was executed at his residence and a desktop computer and cellular phone were seized for analysis.

Michael Harris, 55 years, of Queen Street in Chatham has been charged with Luring.   He has been released with conditions pending a future court date of March 31, 2015.
