Tutoring school owner charged with sexual assault in Brampton

Investigators from the Special Victims Unit are appealing for witnesses, and anyone with information, after a 34 year-old Toronto man was arrested and charged with sexual assault offences.

Officers commenced an investigation into allegations of a tutor who had sexually assaulted two female victims, aged 15 and 16 years-old.

On Tuesday, December 21, 2010, Phong MAI, a 34 year old Toronto man, was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual assault, one count of sexual exploitation and one count of sexual interference. MAI will be appearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on December 22, 2010.

The investigation has revealed that the suspect owns and operates a tutoring business with six separate locations, two in Mississauga, one in Brampton, one in Vaughan and two in Toronto.

Investigators are concerned that there may be other victims and are urging any such individuals to come forward and speak to police.
