Two people arrested for marihuana grow-op in London

On Tuesday December 21, 2010 at 9:35 PM, members of the London Police Service Guns and Drugs Section, with assistance from the RCMP drug section executed a search warrant at an address on Sunnyside Drive in London. Police seized 718 marihuana plants ($718,000) as well as equipment used for this operation. Police further discovered a sophisticated hydro bypass which permitted the accused to steal hydro in excess of $5350.

Police have charged:

– Hien Nguyen, a 53 year old female from Surray, British Columbia with unlawfully producing a schedule II substance (marihuana), possession of a schedule II drug for trafficking and theft over $5000.

– Truong Van LY, a 56 year old male from London with unlawfully producing a schedule II substance (marihuana), possession of a schedule II drug for trafficking and theft over $5000
