Hamilton police make an arrest in the murder of Nathan Miller

Homicide investigators have continued in their dedicated efforts to investigate the homicide of Nathan Miller, and identify those responsible. On June 17, 2015, members of the Gangs and Weapons Enforcement Unit, assisted by members of the Vice and Drug Unit, Division 10 Detectives, the Emergency Response Unit, and the Homicide Unit, arrested an adult and a 15 year old youth who are now charged in relation to the homicide of Nathan Miller. While attempting to affect the arrest of the adult male, he fled on foot but was apprehended following a struggle with officers. He was found to be in possession of a loaded .32 calibre prohibited firearm. The 15 year old youth was also found to be carrying a loaded .357 calibre firearm, and a quantity of cocaine and marihuana. An Arrest Warrant has now been issued for a third accused in relation to the homicide of Nathan Miller:

Charges:

First degree murder

Unauthorized possession of a firearm

Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a vehicle

Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition

Unauthorized possession of a firearm knowing it is unauthorized

Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon knowing it is unauthorized

Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon

Careless storage of a firearm

Carry a concealed weapon

Breach of Probation (x2)

 

15 year old Young Offender from Hamilton

Charges:

First degree murder

Unauthorized possession of a firearm

Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a vehicle

Unauthorized possession of a firearm knowing it unauthorized

Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon knowing it is unauthorized

Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon

Careless storage of a firearm

Carry concealed weapon

Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking

Simple possession of marihuana

Possession of the proceeds of crime

 

Jemaal Wilson, 20 years of Toronto

Charge:

First degree murder, Arrest Warrant outstanding

He is presently in custody on unrelated charges, and will be brought before the courts to answer to this charge.

 

 

Homicide Investigators are seeking the assistance of our communities in identifying two further individuals who are believed to have been involved in this homicide. Suspect # 1 depicted below is described as: Male, black, 20 years of age, 6’5” tall, medium build wearing a Crooks and Castle jacket. Suspect #2 depicted below is described as: male, black, light skinned, 6’5” inches tall, medium build. One of these two suspects is described as having acne and/or a skin pigmentation disorder on their face. Police encourage these individuals to seek legal advice and turn themselves into police.
