Brampton man Jermaine Prempeh charged with attempted murder

Brampton – Members of the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau have arrested a male in relation to a shooting that occurred in Brampton in April, 2015.

On Monday, April 20, 2015, at approximately 10:35 p.m., the victim, a 22 year-old Brampton resident, was shot outside a residence on Fieldview Drive in Brampton.  The victim received serious injuries and was treated at a Toronto trauma unit.  

Jermaine PREMPEH, also known as Stevie BUCKS, a 22 year-old Toronto resident, was arrested on Thursday, July 2, 2015.  He has been charged with Attempt Murder and three counts of Trafficking in Firearms.  He will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Friday, July 3, 2015 for a Bail Hearing.

Homicide investigators believe that this shooting occurrence is connected to the murder of Collins KWARTENG, a 22 year-old Brampton resident, who was shot to death on November 10, 2014, on Yellow Avens Boulevard, Brampton.  No charges have been laid in that investigation.
