Toronto contractor Matteo De-Paola charged with fraud

USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Toronto Police would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a Fraud investigation.

It is alleged that:

– a 77-year-old woman paid $25,000 for renovation work on her home between June 2012 and May 2015

– the home renovations never took place

On Tuesday, June 23, 2015, Matteo De-Paola, 66, of Toronto, was arrested.

He has been charged with:

1) Fraud Over $5000

He appeared in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at 10 a.m..

It is further alleged that:

– Matteo De-Paola offers paving or renovation services to elderly people

– he always requests a deposit or a large lump sum upfront for his services

– he continues to demand money for materials, but no work is done and no materials are purchased

– he targets the Italian community

– he has operated in the past under the following business names: Paveland Paving Inc., M. De Paola General Contractor Paving, and A&M De Paola General Contractor Paving

Police believe there may be other victims.
