Officers from the Peel Regional Police Fraud Bureau have charged a 45 year-old Mississauga man after an investigation at the Port Credit Marina.

In December 2010, Peel Regional Police received several complaints that the suspect was offering a wintering and storage service for boats docked at the Port Credit Marina. Through the course of the investigation, it alleged these services were fraudulent.

Clayton Cripps, a 45 year-old resident of Mississauga, has been charged with one count of Defraud the Public, one count of Fraud Over Five Thousand Dollars and one count of Fraud Under Five Thousand Dollars.

Investigators believe that there may be more victims involved and are asking that anyone who may have had any transactions with Mr. Cripps, to contact the Fraud Bureau.
