On Feb. 5, 2011, Edmonton Police Service officers responded to a weapons and robbery complaint at the Coliseum ETS station on 118 Avenue, near Wayne Gretzky Drive just before midnight.
Investigations led police to a suspect who was located near 118 Avenue, between the north and southbound portions of Wayne Gretzky Drive. The incident escalated to the point of an officer involved shooting and as a result a male has died.
The Solicitor General was notified and ASIRT is investigating.
