Two suspects have been arrested and a third is still wanted in the fatal stabbing of a man at 6739 Fairway #7 about 3:10 a.m. on Feb. 6.

Two males, 14 and 16, have been referred to the Harris County Juvenile Probation Department on charges of murder.

A third suspect, Angel F. Cantu (H/m, DOB: 1-18-92), is wanted and charged with murder in the 182nd State District Court. A photo of Cantu is attached to this news release.

The male victim, Angel Cuevas, 28, of Houston, suffered multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers D.W. Arnold and C.T. Hufstedler reported:

Houston police officers responded to a reported stabbing at the above address and they discovered the victim had been stabbed several times.

Further investigation led to the arrest of two juvenile males who were initially charged with stealing Mr. Cuevas’ pickup truck. At the time, those juveniles told police they were with Cantu inside his apartment, along with the Cuevas, when Cantu and Cuevas began arguing about money Cuevas owed Cantu. Cantu began beating Cuevas and, at some point, Cuevas attempted to jump out of the apartment through a closed window. Cantu stopped Cuevas from fleeing and stabbed him several times with a knife, killing him.
