On Tuesday, October 26, 2010, police were called to 184 Munroe Street for a suspicious death.
As a result of the investigation, the accused, Maritza Velazquez, 45, of Toronto, was located in South Bend, Indiana. A provisional warrant of arrest was sought and the accused was arrested on Saturday, October 30, 2010, at 2:30 a.m.
On Wednesday, February 23, 2011, Maritza Velazquez, was extradited to Toronto, where she appeared in court on Thursday, February 24, 2011, at College Park court, on a charge of Second Degree Murder.
