The York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigation Bureau have obtained a Canada-wide  warrant for the arrest of a suspect wanted in connection with a January shooting at La Shish Bar and Grill in the City of Vaughan.

Roehid HAKIMI, 26, of Brampton, is wanted for Attempted Murder. He is considered armed and dangerous and residents are warned not to approach him, but to call police or Crime Stoppers immediately.

Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Mr. HAKIMI is urged to immediately contact the nearest police agency.

On Saturday, January 8, 2011, at approximately 4 a.m., uniform officers were dispatched to the La  Shish Bar and Grill, located at 4040 Steeles Avenue West, for reports of gun shots. When officers  arrived on scene, a 28-year-old male was located suffering from gunshot wounds. The male was  transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

York Regional Police is urging Roehid HAKIMI to contact legal counsel and make arrangements to turn himself in to police.
