On December 3, 2010 at 8:37 p.m., police responded to a call of an injured man in the 100 block of Lavender Walk. Upon arrival, officers located 20-year-old Brandon Hatcher who had been shot. He was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.
As a result of the investigation by officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit, an 18-year-old man was arrested yesterday at 2 p.m. at a residence in Halifax. He will be appearing in Halifax Youth Court today to face charges of first degree murder. His name will not be released as he was 17-years-old at the time of the incident.
