At approximately 2:45 PM on March 4th, 2011, Prince George RCMP were called to the Pine Centre Mall by Mall Security. Security officers advised that two young females, aged 13 and 14 yrs, had been sexually assaulted by three adult males in their 20’s.

Security escorted the girls to a secure area where the RCMP were called. While RCMP General Duty members were en route, Security were able to identify and maintain surveillance on the three suspects until they departed the mall in a vehicle driven by one of the males. Security was able to obtain a description of the vehicle and the licence plate number and passed this information on to Police when they arrived.

Police set up a perimeter in the area and subsequently located the vehicle abandoned in a snowbank, close to Carney Street. With persistence patrols, Police were able to observe the three suspects running across 15th Avenue. All three were arrested without incident on Douglas Street at approximately 3:02 PM.

Investigators now believe that only one of the suspects committed the alleged offences. Two charges of Sexual Assault and two charges of Sexual Interference have been approved for 24 year old Harold Joseph FLETCHER of Prince George. Police would like to once again commend the Pine Centre Security in their professional handling of this incident.
