After clinching a playoff spot on Saturday in Winnipeg, the Toronto Argonauts have two goals in mind as they face the Montreal Alouettes this Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Rogers Centre: compete to host the East Semi-Final and test their skills against the East’s top team. The Double Blue faithful are encouraged to come down to Friday’s match to celebrate the team as they battle to represent the East in the Grey Cup in their final regular season home game in 2010. In turn, the Argos will honour their supporters during Fan Appreciation Night presented by Nissan.

The Argos are recognizing their fans throughout the game with prizes, video tributes and much, much more. During halftime, the winner of the season-long Nissan Armchair Hero promotion, as selected by Head Coach Jim Barker, will be announced. The lucky fan will win an all expenses paid trip to the 2010 Grey Cup in Edmonton for the chance to compete against other fans and ultimately drive away with a 2011 Nissan JUKE. The first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive both cheer cards and bangers. As well, RedTag.ca will be giving away an all-inclusive vacation for two during the game. Immediately following the game, the popular "Jerseys off our Backs" promotion returns as 13 lucky fans will literally receive the jersey off an Argos player’s back.

The Boatmen will also be celebrating the 60th anniversary of the storied Mud Bowl at Friday’s game with a halftime presentation and concourse exhibit. Argos alumni who played in that game and will be in attendance on Friday are Nick Volpe, Pete Titanic, Arnie Stocks, Bud Fowler and Ulysses Curtis. Fans will have the opportunity to meet the players who played in the Mud Bowl starting at 6:00 p.m., view highlights and accounts from the game as well as check out exclusive artifacts such as jerseys, game balls, programs, newspaper clippings and more at Gate 9A.

Before the game, fans should head to Gate 11 for the Community Crew BBQ. Marc Angelo will grill up sausages with all of the proceeds benefitting the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Toronto. Saputo Dairy Products will be sampling a new product pre-game outside Gates 5 and 11 and Fisherman’s Friend will be distributing sample packs at these gates after the game. The national anthem will be performed by Lauren L. from the Argos Cheerleaders.

After the game, the See You on the Field returns. Fans can come down on the field to meet many of the Toronto Argonauts players and cheerleaders for autographs and photos. Following See You On The Field, supporters are invited to head over to the Official Post-Game Party at Jack Astor’s, 144 Front Street West, to say hi to some of your favourite Argos players and the 2010 Argos Cheerleaders, presented by the Toronto Sun. The party will also feature a Budweiser special.
