Toronto Maple LeafsBrian Burke, President and General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Monday that the hockey club has recalled goaltender Ben Scrivens on emergency conditions from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.

Scrivens, 25, has appeared in four games with the Marlies this season, posting a 3-1-0 record with a 3.02 goals against average and a .889 save percentage. The native of Spruce Grove, Alberta played in two preseason games with the Maple Leafs in 2011-12, recording a record of 2-0-0 with a 0.95 goals against average and a .958 save percentage.

The Marlies are back in action on Wednesday night (Oct. 26) at 7 p.m. when they host the Abbotsford Heat, AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, at Ricoh Coliseum.
