Ottawa SenatorsThe Ottawa Senators [http://www.ottawasenators.com/] today recalled forward Kaspars Daugavins from the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators [http://www.binghamtonsenators.com/] . 

Daugavins, 23, has recorded four goals and two assists for six points in seven games with the B-Sens this season. He spent the entire 2010-11 campaign with Binghamton, scoring 19 goals and adding 35 assists while recording 34 penalty minutes. Daugavins played in played in each of the B-Sens’ 23 post-season contests, finishing in a tie for sixth in team post-season scoring with 20 points, including 10 goals, while helping Binghamton capture its first Calder Cup. 

The native of Riga, Latvia, was held scoreless in his one career National Hockey League game with Ottawa – a 2-0 Senators win at the New York Rangers on Jan. 14, 2010. In 177 career AHL contests with the B-Sens, he has registered 44 goals and 65 assists, while adding 59 penalty minutes. 

Daugavins was Ottawa’s second third-round pick (91st overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
