Kadri Follows Colborne as Marlies Claim Back-to-Back AHL Monthly Award
The American Hockey League announced today that Toronto Marlies forward Nazem Kadri has been named the Reebok/AHL Player of the Month for November. Kadri scored six goals, recorded 11 assists for 17 points in 12 games during the month to help the Marlies maintain first place in the North Division standings.
Kadri, 21, began the month by recording assists in four straight games, and then scored his first goal of the season on November 13 in Albany in overtime, capping a three-point night. The London, Ontario native recorded a pair of assists in a 4-3 victory over Peoria on November 20 and then guided the Marlies to a 4-3 overtime win on November 25 in St. John’s with two goals and two assists in the contest. Kadri closed out the month with a two-goal performance on Tuesday night in the Marlies 4-3 overtime loss to Grand Rapids, his fifth straight game with a point.
In recognition of this achievement, Kadri will be presented with an etched crystal award prior to an upcoming Marlies home game.

The Marlies travel to Grand Rapids tomorrow night, looking to extend their unbeaten streak in regulation to nine games. Puck-drop against the Griffins on Friday is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Toronto returns home for a pair of afternoon games at Ricoh Coliseum on Saturday and Sunday.
