St. Johns IceCapsThe St. John’s IceCaps today announced they have re-assigned defenceman Kyle Bushee to the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL. 

Bushee joins Wheeling after playing eight games with the IceCaps, where he recorded one goal, two assists and six penalty minutes. Bushee began the season with Wheeling, recording one assist in five games before being re-assigned to the IceCaps. In 2010-11, the native of Otsego, MI played 67 games with Wheeling where he compiled 31 points (7g, 24a) and 48 penalty minutes.

Bushee also played four AHL games last season, appearing in two games with the Portland Pirates and another two games with the Manitoba Moose. In his pro career, Bushee has played in 221 ECHL games with Wheeling, Johnstown and Cincinnati. In the ECHL, he’s collected 73 points (17g, 56a) and 146 penalty minutes. In the AHL, Bushee has three points (1g, 2a) and six penalty minutes in 12 games played.
