Brian Burke, President and General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Thursday that the hockey club has assigned forward Colton Orr to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.
Orr has played five games for the Leafs this season scoring one goal and registering five penalty minutes. In 133 career games with the Leafs, he has collected seven goals, two assists and 372 minutes in penalties. The Leafs originally signed Orr as a free agent on July 1, 2009.
The Toronto Marlies next home game is Friday, January 6 when they host the Oklahoma City Barons (AHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers) at Ricoh Coliseum. Game time is 7 p.m.
