Charity Concert with Soulful Rockstar Shafqat Amanat Ali in Toronto

World-renowned music superstar Shafqat Amanat Ali will be performing at the Living Arts Centre, Mississauga at 7:30pm on January 13, 2012 for a tour-de-force performance in support of local charities. This event is organized by Eventivity Inc. and Black Diamond Entertainments in association with Radisson Plaza Mississauga and Grand Victorian Convention Centre.

 

Shafqat Amanat Ali has sold out concerts around the world. His soul-stirring voice is behind some of the biggest Bollywood hits, including Mitwa in Karan Johar’s film Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and Tere Naina in My Name is Khan. His vocals in the song Bin Tere from the movie I Hate Luv Stories earned him a nomination in Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer in 2011, while his album Kyun Dooriyan was nominated for best album in Indipop. You can also hear Shafqat Amanat Ali’s amazing vocals in the hit films Patiala House, Love Breakups Zindagi and Ra.One.

This will be a Charitable Concert where proceeds from the show will support two incredible charities, SSGWI and Shartul Foundation.

The first charity supported is the NGO Salman and Samina Global Wellness Initiative (SSGWI), which will be building 48 shelters and installing hand pumps for clean drinking water in a village in Sindh, Pakistan where people have had no shelter since the floods two years ago.

The other charity will be Shartul Foundation (http://shartulfoundation.org),  a non-profit organization for children with special needs. The Shartul Foundation works to provide special needs children and their parents with much-needed support. All the activities at the Foundation are geared towards creating a positive, loving and caring environment where children with special needs can feel at home.
