Marlies Face-Off Against the Manitoba Moose Tonight at Ricoh Coliseum

The Toronto Marlies announced today that the club has signed forward Philippe Paradis to an amateur try-out contract.

Paradis was acquired by the Toronto Maple Leafs on December 3, 2009 from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for Jiri Tlusty.

Paradis, 19, skated in 63 games this season for the Shawinigan Cataractes of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, posting 44 points (24 goals, 20 assists) and 104 penalty minutes. He was originally selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the first round, 27th overall, in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

The Marlies host the Manitoba Moose, AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, tonight at Ricoh Coliseum at 7:00 p.m. The two clubs will face-off again tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 p.m. at Ricoh Coliseum. Both games will air live on Rogers TV Cable 10 in Toronto and 63 in Scarborough.
