The Ottawa Senators announced today the club has signed defenceman Eric Gryba to a two-year, two-way contract.
Gryba, 24, spent last season with the American Hockey League’s Binghamton Senators, where he established professional career highs in goals (5), assists (15) and games (73) while recording 98 penalty minutes.
The 6-4, 222-pound, Gryba has scored nine goals, 19 assists and amassed 230 penalty minutes in 145 career AHL games, all with the B-Sens. He had one assist in 10 playoff games, helping Binghamton capture the Calder Cup in 2010-11.
A native of Saskatoon, Gryba was Senators’ third-round pick (68th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
