The St. John’s IceCaps announced today they have re-assigned forward Ray Kaunisto to the Colorado Eagles of the ECHL.

Kaunisto, 25, has played in one game with the IceCaps so far this season. He returns to the Colorado Eagles where he has played in 19 games for a total of nine points (3G, 6A) and 29 penalty minutes.

The Sault Ste. Marie, MI native played four years at Northern Michigan University, from 2006-2010, where he recorded 62 career points (36G, 26A) and 208 penalty minutes.
