The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Thursday that the hockey club has reduced its’ training camp roster by 12 players.

Forwards Jamie Devane (Plymouth – OHL), Josh Nicholls (Saskatoon – WHL), Ken Ryan (Windsor – OHL) and defenceman Barron Smith (Peterborough – OHL) have been reassigned to their respective junior clubs.

The Leafs have also assigned forwards Richard Greenop, Justin Hodgman, Dale Mitchell, Mikhail Stefanovich, defencemen Josh Engel, Drew Paris and goaltender Andrew Engelage to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.

Forward Mike Liambas was released from his Amateur Tryout Contract (ATO).

The Toronto Marlies begin their sixth season when they host the Rochester Americans (AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers) at Ricoh Coliseum on Saturday, October 9 at 3 p.m.
