Spain and Italy will have a Euro 2012 final clash with each other at the Olympic Stadium, Kiev on Sunday July 1 2012, kick-off 19:45 BST. Both the titans are eager to win the championship title.
Reigning European and world champions are fearless to face the opponents. Neither side have lost a match in the tournament so far but it will be the Italians have amazingly made their way into the finals.
Spain has paved its way into the final on the back of a penalty shootout success against Portugal, which came after the two sides played out a stalemate in 120 minutes. Spain and Italy already met each other earlier in the group stages of the tournament, with Cesc Fabregas' equaliser earning the former a 1-1 draw in an exciting match in Gdansk.
Spain owns a top FIFA ranking of 1. The Spanish defence has been resolute all tournament, conceding just once – against Italy – while Prandelli's side have shipped just three goals in five matches. The probable line up for Spain include: Casillas, Arbeloa, Pique, Ramos, Alba, Busquest, Alonso, Xavi, Silva, Torres, Iniesta.
Cesare Prandelli's side were excellent in their quarter-final win over England – which was only decided on penalties because of their poor finishing – and they backed it up with a superb 2-1 victory against an in-form and unbeaten Germany.
Italy has a FIFA ranking of 12. Prandelli is determined and said about Spain: "They are the world and European champions and they are an example to everyone. But we have grown and we should not fear them. We have to have the strength to face them with ideas and quality." The probable Italian squad include: Buffon, Balzaretti, Barzagli, Bonuccia, Chiellini, Pirlo, Marchisio, De Rossi, Montolivo, Balotelli, Cassano.
Spain is looking to create history, with no country ever having won the European Championship twice in a row. For Italy, they are aiming to win the title for the first time since 1968. Athough Spain will enter the final as favourites, but Italy is in great form and quite confident to cause problems for their opponents.
