The WTA Doha 2013 Dubai Open will be continued on Wednesday 19th February 2013, which takes place in Dubai Duty Free Tennis Centrer, Dubai. The tournament will be ending on Saturday 23rd February 2013.

Victoria Azarenka the Australian Open champion has been forced to withdraw due to a foot injury from the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships. The world number two, who wants to be at the number one seed at the WTA Dubai Open  tennis spectacular, was dissatisfied at having to miss a tournament she had been looking forward to for months.

On Day 2, Sara Errani crashed Julia Goerges harboured at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships by beating her in three sets as 6-3 4-6 6-4 in the first match. Nadia Petrova also advanced to the second round by defeating  Dominika Cibulkova in 3 sets 5-7 6-3 6-2.Petra Kvitova out-classed Daniela Hantuchova in two sets by 6-1 6-2.
