After suffering defeats in their opening games of the tournament, Pakistan and South Africa would be playing to stay alive in the ICC Champions Trophy 2013 when they take on each other in their second group B match in Edgbaston on Monday.

Both the sides are also on the brink of exiting this tournament in case either of them will not attain their expected outcome. Pakistan were shocked by the West Indies formidable bowling in their opening match of the tournament and their batting lineup failed to deliver a defendable score. Pakistani team is known well for its inconsistent performances but they are also able to beat side when they looked firm to prove themselves. Pakistan need more from their top three, Hafeez and Farhat both failed in the last match which put the middle order under heaps of pressure early on. The likely Pakistan squad will include:  Imran Farhat, 2 Nasir Jamshed, 3 Mohammad Hafeez, 4 Asad Shafiq, 5 Misbah-ul-Haq (capt), 6 Shoaib Malik, 7 Kamran Akmal, 8 Wahab Riaz, 9 Saeed Ajmal 10 Junaid Khan, 11 Mohammed Irfan.

On the other hand, the injury-hit South Africa had to face defeat due to their poor bowling against India in their first match. Chris Morris is almost certain to make his ODI debut and South African fans will be hopeful that he may become the solution to their misfortunes over the past month. The probable South African lineup will include: 1 Colin Ingram, 2 Hashim Amla, 3 Faf du Plessis, 4 AB de Villiers (capt & wk), 5 JP Duminy, 6 David Miller, 7 Ryan McLaren 8 Robin Peterson 9 Chris Morris, 10 Rory Kleinveldt/Aaron Phangiso, 11 Lonwabo Tsotsobe/Dale Steyn.
