Day 2 of the opening test match was dominated by the Zimbabwean batsmen as they showed patience and courage to end the day at 281 for the loss of 7 wickets on Wednesday.
Half-centuries from middle-order batsmen Malcolm Waller and Sikandar Raza lifted Zimbabwe to take the lead. Waller struck 70, while Raza made 60 at Harare Sports Club. At stumps, Elton Chigumbura was on 40 with Shingi Masakadza on 2. Pakistan made 249 in their first innings
But remain unable to restrict the home team from taking the lead. The hosts will resume their first innings on Thursday with 32-run lead from Pakistan with three wickets in hand.
