After attaining the victory in the one off Test, South Africa will face Zimbabwe in ODI series with the opening ODI to be played at Bulawayo on Sunday.
The visitors collected the test win with a day to spare but Zimbabwe did play well and made the Proteas work for majority of the Test. Wayne Parnell is one of the South African bowlers who has been around for a while but he still hasn’t nailed down a regular spot and this is a perfect opportunity as the lead bowler. The probable South African squad will include: 1 Hashim Amla, 2 Quinton de Kock (wk), 3 Faf du Plessis, 4 JP Duminy, 5 AB de Villiers (capt), 6 David Miller, 7 Ryan McLaren, 8 Wayne Parnell, 9 Kyle Abbott, 10 Marchant de Lange, 11 Imran Tahir
On the other hands, Zimbabwe now get a few of their key players back and also get don’t have the likes of Steyn, Philander and Morkel bowling at them which should make things easier. Brendan Taylor was very impressive in his first innings against South Africa where he fell just short of a hundred. Like always, his side do depend on him and he will have an important role in the middle order to ensure Zimbabwe don’t collapse. The likely Zimbabwean line-up will include: 1 Vusi Sibanda, 2 Sikandar Raza, 3 Hamilton Masakadza, 4 Brendan Taylor (wk), 5 Sean Williams, 6 Elton Chigumbura (capt), 7 Timycen Maruma, 8 Shingi Masakadaza/Luke Jongwe, 9 John Nyumbu/Prosper Utseya, 10 Tinashe Panyangara, 11 Brian Vitori.
