Toronto FC announced Sunday that midfielder Alen Stevanovic has been recalled by Torino F.C. of the Italian Serie B league.

"We are disappointed to see Alen leave our club. He is a good young midfielder and did some good things for us," said Toronto FC Head Coach and Technical Director, Aron Winter. "We knew a recall was always possible and now the time has come to thank Alen and wish him well."

Stevanovic, 20, came to Toronto FC on loan from Torino on March 24 of this year. The Serbian international appeared in 12 games for Toronto FC, starting in nine with no goals and no assists.

Stevanovic is co-owned by Torino and Internazionale Milan. He signed a contract with Inter in February 2009 and trained with the club under coach Jose Mourinho. Stevanovic left in July 2010 to join Torino in a co-ownership deal.
