The upcoming Police Week in Ontario is an annual event dedicated to promoting crime prevention, recognition and awareness of policing services in the community.

Since 1970 Police Week has been observed in May to coincide with Peace Officers Memorial Day, recognized internationally on May 15th. This year, May 09th to May 15th. will be designated Police Week in Ontario.

This year’s theme is "Building Partnerships For A Safer Community"

This year, as part of 43 Divisions commitment to Police Week, we will be hosting our Annual Community Picnic and Open House on Saturday, May 15th. 2010. The times of the event will be from 11am to 2pm at 4331 Lawrence Ave E. (43 Division)

Everyone is welcome to attend this free function, especially the kids, as we hope to have our mounted unit, dog unit, vintage police cars, the emergency task force, the EMS, Toronto Fire Dept. and many other special events are scheduled. Hot dogs and beverages will also be supplied.

Please set this day aside, bring the family and come visit with us.
