Freedom Theatre West presents its inaugural production, the world premiere of Sarah’s War, by Valerie Dillman, at the Hudson Theatre. Sarah’s War is a fictional look at the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, inspired by the real-life experiences of the late American activist Rachel Corrie. This multifaceted work looks at the situation from Israeli, Palestinian and American points of view, revealing the human faces behind the political issues. The story centers around Sarah, an idealistic American in her 20s who decides to join the International Solidarity Movement in Palestinian Territories.
