As early as June 14, international celebrity air hostess/comedian Pam Ann returns to Canada with the worldwide tour of her brand new one-woman show, AROUND THE WORLD. "Glamorous, vicious, camp and larger than life, the bitchy yet heart-warming trolley dolly in tight candy-pink uniform, enormous hair, huge lashes and disco boots rules the skies," says the Sydney Morning Herald. So lock your seats in the upright position, fasten your seatbelts and prepare for the ride of your life as Pam Ann takes her passengers on a thrill ride in all her raucous glory.
PAM ANN – AROUND THE WORLD jet sets into Montreal's Le National theatre June 14, the Vancouver Playhouse June 16-17 and Toronto's Panasonic Theatre June 21-23 during Pride Week.
Glamorous, glitzy and wildly hilarious, Pucci-clad Pam has played sold-out shows throughout Europe, Canada and U.S. She once toured with Cher and crewed for Elton John, and even Madonna is a huge fan, describing PAM as "cruelly funny."
PAM ANN is heading back to Canada and she means business (class). PAM ANN, a female stand up comic in the tradition of Lenny Bruce, takes audiences on a wildcat journey from boarding to landing. Prepare to be flown like you've never been flown before! PAM ANN guides you through the conundrums of air travel, skewers the quirks of some of the biggest international airlines and mixes in a stiff cocktail of camp, humour and mines the dark side of fabulous.
PAM ANN is the alter-ego of Australian comedian Caroline Reid. Reid has toured the world with her portrayal of the outrageous air-hostess and has been featured in advertising campaigns for British Airways and Sky Team. In fact, she is the celebrity spokeswoman of Sky Team Terminal 4 at Heathrow, featured on all in-flight video programming and seen on CNN and CNBC. Pam has appeared in promotions for KLM/Air France, JetBlue, Lufthansa, British Airways, Qantas in-flight programming, SAS and even the low-cost carrier EasyJet use her videos in their training.
What happened to the Golden Age of Flying? When the ladies always wore heels, donned their finest couture and had hairdos so big they could barely get on board. In those days passengers would sit in the cockpit drinking champagne with the captain en route to LA. Where's the glamour? Where's the fun? It's with PAM ANN. She brings the thrill back into flying. Be sure to catch her as, like a kangaroo or an ostrich, she's forever moving forward (you try walking backwards in a pair of Christian Louboutin pumps!). Her non-stop barrage of up-to-the-minute airborne satire will blow you away! "Pam Ann has the audience in the palm of her well-manicured hand." – Time Out New York.
