Led Zeppelin — the British lords of classic rock — certainly knew how to deliver big, crushing hard rock riffs and huge, throaty vocals. But they were equally deft, if less widely recognized, as an acoustic outfit with folk, acoustic blues and traditional roots influences (think “Over the Hills and Far Away,” “Going to California,” “Tangerine,” “The Rain Song” and the first half of “Stairway to Heaven”). For this installation of Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center’s Tribute Wednesdays Unplugged Acoustic Rock series, acclaimed tribute band Led Zepagain, who’ve been praised by no less than Led Zep guitarist Jimmy Page himself, will give Zeppelin’s acoustic classics their proper due.
