When life with her overprotective mother becomes too much to bear, Bethany (Ashley Rickards, Awkward) seeks refuge with her gay dad and his much younger boyfriend, played with unexpected verve by former child star Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense). As Bethany settles in and saves up to attend the fashion school of her dreams, her mom schemes to get her back. Writer-director Coley Sohn’s debut is a charming film about finding your voice.
