MUSE/IQUE presents Rickie Rocks, featuring jazzy alternative rock musician Rickie Lee Jones. Over the course of Rickie Lee Jones’ three-decade career, her prodigious talent has produced such diverse songs as the jazz-inflected “Chuck E.’s in Love,” jive-talkin’ commercial hit “Woody and Dutch…” and early ’90s college radio hit “Satellites.” Jones will now make her orchestral singing debut together with MUSE/IQUE as they turn the concept of orchestra inside out with improvisation, mash-ups and new compositions. The ever-experimental, 8-time Grammy nominated vocalist extends her eclectic, decades-spanning career with this dazzling repertoire of never-before heard songs, including new takes on childhood favorites like “My Funny Valentine” and “Bye Bye Blackbird.”
