Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and the Clippers host the Cleveland Cavaliers in one of the first games of the 2012-13 NBA season. Hopes are high for the Clippers this year — Coach Vinny Del Negro’s “Lob City” team made the Western Conference semifinals with their fast-paced brand of basketball, and this year’s new arrivals include proven veterans Jamal Crawford, Lamar Odom Grant Hill and Matt Barnes. The Cavaliers are led by last season’s Rookie of the Year Kyrie Irving, and also feature No. 4 draft pick Dion Waiters and rising star big man Tristan Thompson.
