Walt Disney Concert Hall (Los Angeles, CA)

French violin virtuoso Renaud Capuçon and the Los Angeles Philharmonic perform Erich Wolfgang Korngold’s Violin Concerto at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. The technically demanding piece represents the composer’s return to concert halls after years of composing film scores. Korngold’s celebrated concerto is dedicated to Alma Mahler, the widow of his childhood mentor, Gustav Mahler, whose Symphony No. 5 will also be performed. Mahler’s 5th contains his most famous piece of music, the Adagietto of the fourth movement. The concert will be conducted by Daniel Harding of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra.
